Enjoy Easy Access to Live Minneapolis Sporting Events

Minneapolis is a sports fan’s paradise! Professional football, basketball, baseball and hockey converge in in the cities of Minneapolis, St. Paul and Minnetonka. Catch the game of your choice at four major sports venues, including three within a few miles of each other.

Target Center
The Target Center is one of the top arenas worldwide, boasting over one million visitors annually. Seating over 18,000 for a game of hoops, it is home to NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves as well as the four-time WNBA world champion Minnesota Lynx. A $145 million renovation was recently completed on this state-of-the-art sports center, which includes an upgraded exterior, seats, and technology as well as a completely remodeled interior. The arena’s moveable floor – one of only two in the U.S. – ensures a great view from any seat. You can even rent a suite for 16 to 22 guests or partake in five-star dining at the Lexus Courtside Club with private entrance and member-only access to the basketball court. There’s never a dull moment at the Target Center.

Target Field
This open-air baseball park is home to the MLB Minnesota Twins, a three-time-World-Series-champion major-league baseball team (1924, 1987, 1991). With a capacity of nearly 40,000 and numerous creature comforts, Target Field was named the #1 baseball stadium experience in North America by ESPN Magazine in 2010. You will be protected from the elements with the largest canopy soffit found in baseball and can stay warm with hundreds of radiant heaters on every level of the concourse. Bite into a mouthwatering Jucy Lucy burger at the Town Ball Tavern, or sample Minnesota favorites such as Kramarczuk’s sausages, wild rice soup, and walleye. Don’t forget or take in a view of the field while you listen to the Target field organist play at one of the two upper level bars.

US Bank Stadium
Built on the former site of the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, the enclosed US Bank Stadium opened in July 2016. It’s home to the National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings and hosted Superbowl LII on February 4, 2018. A world-class food and beverage experience awaits, courtesy of the stadium’s partnership with celebrity chef and Minnesota native, Andrew Zimmern. The wide-ranging cuisine features everything from Asian fare to BBQ, and smoked turkey legs to jerk bacon sammies, along with gluten free options. You’ll also find locally commissioned artwork celebrating Minnesota, including works from former Vikings team members Matt Blair, Carl Eller, Bud Grand, and Jim Marshall. If it’s your first time, be sure to get your first game button from Guest Services or pick up some memorabilia from the Vikings Locker Room Store. The stadium also offers tours so that you can see behind the scenes, including the team’s locker room.

Xcel Energy Center
Home to the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild, Xcel Energy Center was named best overall sports venue in the U.S. in 2004 and best by league for 2014 by ESPN. Here, you’ll enjoy an authentic hockey experience cushioned seats and a contagious atmosphere, courtesy of Minnesota Wild fans responsible for the ninth highest attendance record in the NHL. Right before the puck drops, enjoy the “Let’s Play Hockey” cheer as well as the “State of Hockey” anthem between the first and second periods. Watch the points add up on a massive LED high definition scoreboard and listen as the Zamboni-looking organ plays from one of the stadium’s four crow’s nests. Be sure to sample some Xcel Center specialties such as brats filled with cheese, wild rice and pork to sample. After the game, find yourself on the Fan Cam – a 360-degree, high-resolution photo of the crowd available at Minnesota Wild’s website – and share it on social media.
